Taylor
Hello! My name is Taylor and I am nine years old. I was born on January 31, 1997 which waS a big surprise for Mom ahd Dad as I waS six weeks earlier than expected! I was delivered by emergency c-section, weighed only 5 Ibs.
9 oz. and spent three days in theneo-natal unit at St. John Hospital. The doctors told Mom and Dad that it was a miracle I was here.
When I was nine months old, I needed to have some tests as my motor skill development was delayed. That's when I was diagnosed with PVL, a form of cerebral palsy.
I started Conductive Education in the spring of 2001 and I love it! I am doing great. The program has helped me develop lots physically, socially and academically and because of this program, I am able to attend regular school which is way cool! I go to Plumbrook Elementary and am in a regular third grade class. I am doing very well and have lots of friends here. My family is so proud of me and I am very proud of myself for all of the accomplishments I have made.
Because of the therapy and support I have received through Conductive EduCQtion, I CQn Qiso have fun playing with my toys and my new puppy Ty (he's very cute!). My newest favorite thing that I've just started is horseback riding. It's very way cool! I also like to play with my dolls, swim (in grandma's pool mostly), bake with my other grandma and swing on my swing set.
My goal is to achieve as much independence as possible. With continued therapy, schooling and family support, I am confident that I will continue to develop and grow toward my own independence.
I would like to THANK YOU for taking the time to learn more about me and for your support. My fami ly and I really do appreciate it!
With much thanks,
Taylor
